Just like the shaded woodland stream running through the estate in Loretto, Kentucky, where this was distilled, the second release of Star Hill Farm meanders beautifully towards the darker, more brooding side of Wheat Whisky. Ripe stone fruits, especially plum and prune, are found alongside heady spices like star anise. With time in the glass, some dried berries appear, all lifted by quintessential wisps of wheat sweetness.
