The 2025 Triennes Rose immediately evokes sensations of a walk through the Mediterranean countryside. There’s a pronounced brightness well before the bouquet hits you – and what a bouquet it is, full of wildflowers and summer fruits. The nose opens with rose petal, strawberry and lightly confected cherry, layered with red apple skin and a touch of grapefruit peel. Cherry blossom and soft summer fruits add a delicate note, though there is a real intensity here, followed by a hint of vanilla.Upon tasting, you’ll find a step up in power: while this is floral and pretty on the nose, it has more to say on the palate. Bright acidity drives the wine forward, with citrus zest and cherry-drop sweetness, while a savoury streak of mountain herbs and black pepper adds complexity.
