Description
There are three barrels this year, of which one was new. The fruit comes from a longstanding supplier, the vines planted between 60 and 70 years ago. The nose is quintessential Volnay, with pure and bright strawberry fruit lifting from the glass alongside some floral notes. The palate is elegant, supple and juicy, with a sensation of red berries bursting in the mouth. The chalky tannins fan out beautifully on the floral and saline finish.
