Description
This wine has rich and and captivating aromatics of incense, oud, clove and orange peel. On the palate, there’s a wonderful tension between crunchy red fruit freshness and savoury minerality. Aged in 40% new French oak with a touch of Hungarian and Slavonian, the oak is beautifully integrated and doesn’t overwhelm the fruit at all. This is undeniably seductive. It’s generous in the Merlot character, yet with a poised elegance that you expect from this estate and undeniably Sangiovese aromatics. This is crafted for early enjoyment, but the estate report they are drinking older vintages with nearly 2 decades bottle age behind them. Personally I won’t wait!Amy Johnson, Account Manager, Berry Bros. & Rudd (February 2026)
