The 2022 vintage is a turbo-charged year for Badarina, with no Vigna Regnola being produced – meaning that the very best the vineyard has to offer will be in the regular Badarina bottling. The harvest started nearly two weeks earlier than in 2021, and this has meant – coupled with each parcel being vinified separately in stainless steel – that Simone has managed to retain an amazing freshness and precision in the wine. This has real Serralunga typicity, with heady aromatics, sweet botanical notes and blue fruit, as well as fine, grippy tannins. There is a brilliant salty edge driving the finish.Berry Bros. & Rudd
