Description
A vibrant ruby colour, this St Emilion is now showing graceful signs of ageing along the rim. An inviting nose opens with seamless aromas of soft oak, ripe red cherry and wild berries. Subtle layers of cedar and faint cigar box emerge. The tannins have softened completely, wrapping effortlessly around a medium-bodied frame with more bright red fruit. Despite its age and wood influence, a vibrant thread of freshness runs through to a long, elegant finish. This is a classic match for game – particularly roast pheasant.
