Description
Master Distiller Steve Wilson has explored how oak shapes his spirit without changing its identity. From an extensive collection of gin resting in oak casks, three woods stood out from the rest: Pyrenean Black Oak for structure and intensity, Vosges French Oak for depth and warmth, and American Oak for smoothness and length.Together, this trio of woods conspires to create a deeper golden hue and richer texture, while still preserving the botanical clarity of the original. The incredibly rare Queen of the Night flower remains at the heart of the liquid, though here it reverberates with a deeper voice. At the heart of 71 Gin’s production is the painstaking process of turning each cask every evening for 71 nights, inspired by the age-old transport of spirits by sea. This is the first edition release of just 3,000 bottles.
