Description
We’re delighted to work with Château Simard on our Own Selection St Émilion again this year. It is a blend of Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Franc (35%), with smaller proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The nose has subtle notes of sweet spice and violet. Soft tannins and bright acidity on the finish accompany red cherry and ripe raspberry notes. This wine has a lovely delicacy and freshness, which, being from a lighter vintage, is a delight to drink now.Berry Bros. & RuddPair with rich game meats like venison, or grilled ribeye steaks and hearty beef stews.
